We started the Christmas season off with our traditional trip to see the Festival of Lights and Trees at Hyvee Hall. This is a fund raiser for the Blank Children's hospital. The trees are absolutely amazing, the kids have fun with making crafts and it is usually our one and only time to see Santa! Carter wasn't able to go with us this year but not sure he would have agreed to sit on Santa's lap anyway (sniff).
Case had a super cute preschool program at Kids Company. I kept asking him if he needed to practice his songs and he said "Nope, I know them all" and sure enough he did!
Baking and decorating our favorite Christmas cookies recipe courtesy of Megan Summers! These are the bomb!
Yikes that's a lot of sugar!
We attended the Christmas Eve service at church (a couple days before Christmas eve) and this scene gets me every time. Thousands of candles shining their light during Silent Night. Beautiful and breathtaking. Enough said.
We stuck with our old favorite traditions again. Jeremy made a surf and turf dinner for us on Christmas Eve and then we opened presents.
Grandma and Grandpa Berry and kiddos!
The Freeman Five!
Me, Grandma Mehlmann and my sister Darcie
We were all spoiled beyond belief. Some of Carter's favorite things were:
A drone, a ripstick, a robotic car, Beats headphones, a pitching machine, video games and new clothes. Claire's favorites were: A new American Girl Doll, a Girl Scout cookie oven, lots of crafts, Little Live Pets, Chubby Puppies. Case loved all the TMNT stuff he got, remote control monster truck, stuffed animals, Nerf machine gun, and a Ninja dress up costume. Mimi loved her new toys and treats! I got a shop vac! ( so excited..seriously) lotion, jewelry, GC's, an address stamper, and new jammies. Jeremy got a new Kerig, beef certificates, Bruce Springsteen concert tickets, and of course new socks!
