Where did Kindergarten go?

School is officially out and Carter proudly graduated from Kindergarten. I am so proud of him, but yet I am SO sad! I can't believe it is over already. I have a feeling each year will go by faster and faster. It is almost unbelievable how much he has learned this year. He loved his teacher and school and was really upset when I told him he wouldn't have Mrs White next year. He is a great student so I know he will continue to do well. For now he is excited to make his summer bucket list!

Spring music concert " How Does Your Garden Groove?" Carter was a carrot and had a speaking part!

Last Friday his class had an end of the year celebration. Mrs White put together a slide show reviewing their year and let me tell you there wasn't a dry eye in the place. The kids put together a poem describing everything they learned this year and were proud to announce they were ready for 1st grade. They also shouted they were the class of 2024! Seems like a long ways away but I know it will be here in a blink of an eye!

Possibly the best teacher ever Mrs White!
Last day of Kindergarten!
Field day! Rocking the wheelbarrow race with his friend Skylar.

Handsome boy!

So whenever I get the kid's pictures taken I never think they will turn out. Just look at how we started out....

Case finally started to like the camera or maybe it was 3 of us dancing and singing like fools to try and get him to smile!

And as always, I think they turned out amazing, thanks to the very talented Julie Glasgow and her creativity! And these are just a few of my favorites! Too many to post!
She snuck a few a big sis in while we were changing clothes...how pretty is she?

A visit from the Klein's!

Our awesome friends the Klein's made the trip south from MN to spend the weekend with us and meet Case. The kids had a blast playing together and it was good to catch up with our friends.
Nothing says welcome to Iowa like a big breakfast at the Iowa Machine Shed!
The Klein's stayed at our favorite water park/hotel so we could all swim!

Thanks for visiting!

Camping!

This past weekend Jeremy, Carter and Claire were able to camp with Darcie and Jill at Jester Park. No, you did not misread this, I did say Jeremy. Mr germaphone, dirtaphobe, outdooraphobe, allergy prone Jeremy went camping. Jeremy actually had the idea to take Carter camping as a reward for all his hard work in wrestling. They were going to rough it. Jeremy even purchased some much needed "out in the wild" supplies like a big knife, a compass, a tool with all kinds of gadgets on it and a flashlight. Well, Claire got wind of this and wanted to go. She couldn't be left out, so instead of sleeping in the wild on the ground, the next option was to tent camp but still roughing it (ie, no air mattress). Long story short, the tent never made it up and all of them ended up sleeping in Darcie and Jill's camper. So much for roughing it. Case and I joined them for dinner and a campfire before heading home. They were home pretty early the next morning, apparently Claire has a teeth grinding and snoring problem, so no one got much sleep!

Mudder's Day

I am one lucky mom! I was showered with love from the hubs and kiddos. Claire proclaimed "Happy Mudders Day" bright and early! I did get to sleep in until 6:30 followed by a yummy breakfast, pretty flowers, clean house, foot rubs, yummy dinner.  After dinner, Carter asked me what my favorite part of the day was. I told him it was all my favorite. He replied, "no, you should say the favorite part of Mother's Day is being our mom. You wouldn't be a mom without us."  True, smart one, so in honor of being a mom to Carter, Claire and Case I posted the pictures of the days they made me a mom again and again and again!

Hey batter batter!

Baseball season is in full swing! Carter is a Twins this year. He'll play 10 games with this team, then play a second season starting in July with another team. It is amazing how much everyone has improved from last year. They actually pay attention to the game instead of throwing sand and playing in the dirt ( most of the time) Although I am still washing his uniform all the time as he feels the need to slide into every base! The team is a little competitive and has a great group of parents supporting them!

Playing his two favorite positions, catcher and 1st base
The first game of the season was FREEZING! It felt more like football season!
The second game was more like baseball weather! YIPPEE for sun!
Go Twins!

I hate food!

Case is still experience his "eating disorder" and continues to refuse all baby food and even "people" food we have tried. He did eat a popsicle the other day so I am considering freezing his food into tube form! He doesn't realize what he is missing out on!

Even Claire's excellent airplane tactics don't phase him!
