It's in the blood!

Some things are innate, girls like pink, boys think farting is funny...these hold true at our house, along with the love of wrestling. I think these boys were born to wrestle. It's why we have a wrestling room, it's why we sacrifice our weekends from November to March, it's why many prayers are prayed to God, "Dear God, please let me be an Olympic champion someday" or "Dear God, please don't let him get hurt!" Case has taken up the sport and has some killa moves already! He is super aggressive! I just hope he doesn't try some of these things on this classmates at school and sticks to wrestling monkey or his siblings!

A little practice with monkey!
 You're goin down!
 Two point take down!
 Three back points!

Pinned him! Champion!
 Ready for the match!
 I love this picture!

Just a side note, Claire WILL not be a wrestler! Girl wrestling is just wrong...wrestling cheerleader maybe? Wish us luck as the "official" season starts!

Home sweet home!

We have been in our new house almost 3 months now! It is starting to feel more like home, the new house smell has left and in return, the dust bunnies, dog hair, dirty kitchen floor, and scuff marks have shown up! I think except for a few decorations and a couple of small pieces of furniture to purchase, we are settled for the most part.

Main level: Kitchen, great room, dining area, bathroom, mudroom/laundry room(my favorite room in the house), pantry, Master bed and bath, Claire and Case's room.

Lower level: Family room, Carter's room, bathroom, wrestling room, game closet (my second favorite room) storage

We are really happy how it turned out. It was hard to imagine the finished product when you are picking everything out. We are loving the extra space, although I am not loving cleaning double the house! I am preparing my pitch to Mr. Freeman on how we can afford a cleaning lady! Wish me luck! Stop by and visit our new digs anytime!

Halloween fun!

So is it just me, or does it seem like Halloween is more of an "event" than an actual holiday? The kids all were able to wear their costumes multiple times during the week of Halloween. Claire was able to wear her costume to gymnastics practice on Tuesday, dance on Wednesday, Clive trick or treat on Wednesday and Waukee trick or treat on Thursday! Not to shabby for a throw together Tinkerbell!

Case participated in the Monster Walk at daycare on Thursday and trick or treat on Beggars night and on Halloween! He did a pretty good job for his first official trick or treat outing. He wouldn't say trick or treat but did say " tank to" when someone gave him a treat. After about 4 houses he sat his bucket down on the sidewalk and tried to take off his costume!

Carter had a "fall" party at school on Friday that I was able to help with. He wore the traditional Husker football get up again, as his "real" costume involved swords and bow and arrows which weren't allowed in school!

So funny but these last few pictures were actually taken after Halloween. It was a crazy couple of days with schedules so I wasn't able to get them all together on Halloween to get a picture. Since we live in Clive now, the kids trick or treated on Wednesday night, but Carter was at wrestling practice, so I just took Claire and Case out. We also visited our old neighborhood in Waukee to trick or treat as the moved their night to Halloween to accommodate the high school football game. Carter had gymnastics that night, so was late getting out so it was dark by the time we all set out. Anyway, better late than never! Now what to do with the pounds and pounds of candy we have...besides putting in my mouth?
