Halloween

Even though fall is my FAVORITE time of year, I must admit I dread the annual carving of the pumpkins. We search the Internet for the perfect pattern, which usually involves some crazy intricate design, the kids scoop out about 2 seeds and abandon me to go play while I am left with hours of work and a big mess. I know is sounds grinchy, but I am thinking next year we might just paint them! We had three pumpkins picked to carve, but as you'll see, I never got to the 3rd one!

Both Carter and Claire were able to wear their costumes more than once! Carter had a "fall party" at school last week that I was able to get off work to go help with and Claire was able to dress up for dance class. Nothing like 16 little girls dressed up like princesses! She was bummed she couldn't wear her mermaid costume to dance, but she wasn't able to bust a move in it, so she opted for Cinderella instead.
We headed out in our wonderful neighborhood on Beggar's Night to fill our bags full of candy. The kids were out about an hour and had their bags so full they couldn't carry them anymore.   So far I have done a good job of keeping them out of it, now if I could only resist the temptation!

Love that monkey costume! What a cutie pie. Sam just saw Claire and said wow mom, she's gotten old!) Hope wrestling is going good - can't wait to hear about Carter's season.
