Okay, so more like what have the kids been up to. Carter had to say goodbye to his beloved Meagan, Bill and Lilly after 3 years of going to their house everyday. He turned 3 on Sept 12 and started preschool the following Tuesday at Kids Company. It has been some what of a rough transition for him, but I am praying the worst of it is over and he is starting to warm up to the idea of preschool. When I picked him up today he was covered head to toe in dirt so that is an improvement from simply sitting on the sidewalk at recess the past 2 weeks. He has been going for about 4 hours a day to "ease" him into it, but will try full day next week as I am nearing the end of my maternity leave.
Claire is almost 9 weeks old now and has just been the best baby. She gives us big gummy grins all the time. She is also a great snuggler!
For Carter's birthday, we took him to see Thomas the Train in Boone. He had so much fun riding the train but his favorite part was watching the magic show. I've never heard him laugh so hard in his life...nothing like the sound of your kids laughing to put a smile on your face. We celebrated with a delicious football cake made by our neighbor http://www.sweetestperfections.com/
and some yummy ice cream.
Lastly, we have been enjoying Indian Summer here and got a chance to visit an apple orchard last weekend. My camera died after we were there for about 5 minutes, but I did get some shots of the "corn pool" Carter did a face plant at one point and came up with a kernel of corn stuck in his nose!
