Summer bucket list!

Summer is here! This year the kids and I made a "bucket list" and posted it where everyone could see it. This has turned out to be a beneficial tool for everyone! It helps me plan what to do with my days and weekends off AND it is used as weapon for bad behavior! I have had to remove a couple things from the original list due to inability to keep our hands to ourselves! Now, my warnings seem to take more weight when I threaten to take something off the list. We are working our way through it, but with July knocking on the door, I think we might be pushed to get it all done! Carter starts back to school August 15th! Plus, many of the days I have off, there is some super fun activity at summer care that he would prefer to do! So, I am hoping when the kids are asked in the fall what they did, they won't say "NOTHING!" Secretly I think this list is more for me ( kids weekend at grandma's, kids weekend at Aunt Darcie's) :) We are headed to I-Cubs game this weekend and Adventureland on Thursday to knock some things off the list!

 My water babies!

 Swimming lessons!

One of the things the kids wanted to do was go miniature golfing. I thought this would be a great family event, but it turned into a fiasco! Claire was done after the 3rd hole and drug her putter behind her complaining it was too hot out. The competitive Mr Carter showed up and threw a fit when Jeremy did not properly count Claire's score each hole. Several balls were fished from the water, one tennis shoe soaked in the pond and one crabby baby made for a not so fun experience, but it is officially checked off the list!

Jeremy doesn't think the list can be conquered...do I hear a challenge? Game on! Stay tuned for more Freeman fun bucket list adventures!

2012 Twins

The "first" season of baseball is over. The boys celebrated with a party at the coach's house a few weeks ago. This was a super fun team. The team parent was WAY over the top and gave each parent a whole album full of pictures of our kiddo. I was so thankful as I 1) have a CRAPPY camera and 2) didn't get the chance to take many pictures while trying to manage 2 little ones at the baseball field. She also gave each kid a bag of goodies straight from the Minnesota Twins with a special letter encouraging them to "Play ball" It was really great to be a part of a this team. "Second" season starts the first week of July. He will play 10 games with the team he was on last year. Next year we have to make the decision to continue to play league ball or try out for a tournament team. Really at 7?

Rhodes family visits!

Memorial Day we had our awesome friends the Rhodes family stop through on their way back to Chicago. Although their visit was WAY to brief we soaked up as much time with them as we could! We got to meet baby Emmie and were able to love on the rest of the kiddos! Thanks y'all for stopping by! :)

Miss ya friend!

My big boy

We have a mover on our hands! Case is days away from crawling and I have been following him around with the video camera to capture the moment. However he just stops what he is doing when I turn it on and stares blankly at me! He has mastered army crawling and has been finding himself in some pickles. I had also forgotten how good babies are at picking up the tiniest little thing they find on the floor! I have perfected my mouth sweep technique!

I think this is a modified downward dog!
