Claire and her babies!!

Claire has a new obsession...BABIES!! and when I say obsession, I mean OBSESSION! I am pretty sure she thinks about her babies ALL DAY long! We have to take them with us in the car, to the store, to daycare, to bed, you get the hint. I am becoming a pro at swaddling 6 babies before bed as well as changing baby diapers and buckling 6 babies into the empty seat in the back of the car. Our living room looks like a daycare complete with two baby strollers, a changing table, a bouncy seat, a high chair, a pack and play, a front baby carrier, and a baby swing. We had gotten her all these things for her birthday hoping she would like them...well needless to say everything was a hit! She is quick to point out "real" babies anywhere we go and runs right up to them pointing and says " my baby" as of course everything at this age is hers! It has been so fun to watch her love them, kiss them, snuggle with them and talk to them. She takes such good care of them, making sure they are all fed and burped and diapered. She'll bring them up to me and hold them out and say "ewww" while wrinkling up her nose to indicate they are poopy. What a good mommy she will make someday!

Feeding baby Stella..this baby is great..she has a magnet sewn around her mouth so the bottle and a binky stick to her mouth!

It's that time of year again..

IOWA STATE FAIR TIME! WOOT WOOT! Okay Jeremy would give me a funny look over my excitement for the fair. He just doesn't know what he is missing out on! I can't say I am a fair fanatic and can't see myself going everyday like some people, but it is just something you have to do living in Iowa! Carter and I along with my sister Darcie and Jill knocked the fair out yesterday. We spent an entire day there, sun up to sundown. We stuffed ourselves silly...luckily there were 4 of us, so we got to sample more food, including warm fresh donut holes, Barksdale chocolate chip cookies, corn dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, pineapple whips, milk shakes from the dairy barn, fried snickers on a stick ( my personal favorite) and cheese curds AND it was worth every calorie! I love good bad food!! Here are the highlights of the day:

* Little hands on the farm
* Watching baby chicks hatch
* Watching a high diving show
* The BIG slide x3
* 10 temporary tattoos
* Iowa's biggest boar and bull
* Grape stomping
* Dr Seuss butter sculpture
